“Xiaoli Wang”, from Hues of China Series by Minh Dam

Xiaoli, or Lily, is an important person in my life who has influenced me greatly. This painting is based on a photo I took of her in Zhouzhuang, China, in 2019. She’s wearing a traditional Hanfu, and the portrait captures both her quiet and strong sides.
